Japonica

A Poem by Chin-hooi Ng
"

About one solitary scenery

"
Stubs burning
darkly
on dusty ground
cold of the
waxen moon
takes away remnants
of merriment
helpless footsteps
entwined with the tune
of frustration
the clear sky chimes
with faint elegance
old acacias
love the winter
dead branches chatter
like madness
smoke at the bottom
of the basin fades
gasping and fading
the journey is like
moment of a walk
inadvertently
inexplicably
it deepens.
