Human Error.

Human Error.

A Poem by Chloe Madison Taylor.
"

"
Our bodies are falling apart.
Under different circumstances, of course,
but we're both disappearing all the same.
News spreads, the whole town cries
you always wanted a million people screaming your name.

I couldnt breathe any better than you can now,
so I settled for something a little dirtier.
If these strings of smoke could have somehow held you together
maybe you wouldn't have felt so hopeless
maybe everything wouldn't have been so worthless
maybe now you could remember one thing you like.

If only the sun could have warmed the pavement for you the day you made that last walk.

Strange how suicide is the one form of death that makes survivors feel the guiltiest.
If you don't blame me for your death I won't blame you for my resulting drug addiction.

I pray that pounding in my ears is not the sound of a hundred planks of wood being nailed over the great gates
if they've gone out of business, if hell has its own food chain now,
you're welcome to come back anytime.
You've burrowed a new hiding place for me in my mind
I only seem to catch glimpses of myself wondering, too

To be, or not to be?
You finally answered the question.
