Lost In a Dream

Lost In a Dream

A Poem by The Mad Hatter
"

Sometimes we get lost in thought, other times we get lost in our dreams.

"

These four walls are my prison cell,
which wears away my sanity.
My mind is my salvation;
my calming fantasy.

Each day I sit within my room
lost inside my dreams;
hiding in the only place
that seems to set me free.

It’s a place where all can happen;
I can sail the stormy seas,
adventure all across the land,
and fight all enemies.

It’s a place where armies battle
in the old mediaeval ways;
where soldiers march with sword and spear
and magic in their frays.

It’s a place where knights are honored,
idolized in plays;
a place where I can go
to live out all my days.

Well, I can certainly see what your dreams are. I don't think I'd have any of the ones you mention... that's what is great about dreams (and people) we can 'do it our way.' I liked this poem and the looking through the windows to see what your dreams would be (or are). One day I'll have to do a poem about my dreams - except I never can remember them upon awakening - darn!
