I Need You

Its a Poem/Song that I wrote about something everyone goes through in life called love and how sometimes the person you though was perfect to be with wanted something else.

I need you

Like the winter wind needs the cold air breeze

I need you

Like the autumn needs the changing of the leaves

I need you

Like the spring needs the sun

I need you

Like the summer needs some fun

It all started back in august

when we both made a promise

Back then I didn't know about love

So I  guess I was heartless

Didn't think too much 

So call me thoughtless

But with her I felt safe

Never was I cautious 

When I first spoke to her

I used a cheesy pick up line

 Hey, girl whats your sign?

She replies, as I looked in her eyes

"I'm a Gemini, And I was a Taurus 

Her favorite song,

Was I am The Walrus by the Beatles 

Her favorite dog is a beagle

After we exchanged nervous laughs and words

I told her, "I want to make you my verb"

because when I'm with you, Love is what I want to do.

But then she said, "She just couldn't vibe with me"

She wanted something more sexually

Something called friends with benefits 

But who would it benefit, no one

So I was left alone, with a promise I couldn't agree

All I wanted was for her to love me

And she asked "Can we still be friends?"

You know me I'm quite the thespian 

So I said yes, But nonetheless 

I was still left singing

I need you
