A Christmas Psalm

A Christmas Psalm

A CHRISTMAS PSALM

It's heard in the twilight;

Angels chime, all around;

Heavenly hosts are singing;

Jesus; crescendo abounds.

Born to us, with promise;

Magi worship Your day;

Hallelujah to the King;

Unto Thee we hope and pray.

Was Christmas His birthday

Or the day He was hidden away,

Until Jesus could grow up

And take our sin away.

The Present has been wrapped

And written in a Book,

That precious Jesus is Lord,

If I have the faith to look.

There is no greater gift

Than the one already given;

Holy Jesus Christ, our Lord,

Welcoming us into Heaven.

Author's Note

Christina May Shanaberg
This was an experiment in writing with Buck. One took the beginning and the odd lines, the other the even lines and the ending. At our first public reading, together, we read each other's lines. It was so much fun. The hard part is, probably, finding a comparable writer to try it with. See whether you can guess who is who, those of you whom know my writing.
