Time

 

The past is indeed the past;

The present is here and now;

Tomorrow is a future, perhaps,

We'll be lucky enough to know.

It marches on...it flies...there's none like the present,
But the question remains... is it soldier or pheasant?
For if it is soldier we know...it marches off to war!
A pheasant might mate or go on the plate...his future is unsure.
So I guess I'll go with the bird...though it might seem absurd.
Time is just a mystery except what we call history. (laughing)

Hmm very interstin nice it was short and really makes you think and maybe even wobder these words are very true the last sentance really caught my eye i think it brought the poem together and its true we might never know what tomorrow will bring us and we might never know what will happene when we grow older each day is a day to live because we never know we could be dead the next I love the idea of this poem great write

My Dear Writing Friend,
Time, you touched on a subject that so many take for granted. So many live as if they have forever, and waste time. In my posted poem titled “Tick Tock”, I ask the fundamental question “When your clock runs out, and you have used up all your time, will you have made a difference, or spent it chasing your next dime”?
There are so many I wished I had spent more time with, had mugs of coffee with, watched sunsets together, or just sat in silence enjoying a moment. But living with the coulda, shoulda, woulda, wont change the past.
If I look at backwards and use my life experiences as learning lessons I can have a positive outcome on the here and now and the future. If I look at the past as not rite or wrong, but what can I do as a positive with the time I have with the lessons learned, just maybe I will make that difference.
Your twenty-three words were an excellent way to spend time. They brought back to the forefront of my mind that my time is limited so I need to be thankful for every moment of it and spend it to its fullest. I do not want regrets when my clock runs out of time.
