I do not wish upon you

I do not wish upon you

A Poem by Cibs

I do not wish upon you

The things you wish upon me.

I do not wish to see you stumble,

Nor do I wish to see you fall.

I do not wish to see you break,

Piece by piece the being of you.

I do not wish to see you shatter

The dreams you had for yourself.

I do not wish one bad thing upon you,

No matter how much you wish them upon me.

I do not see the point in wishing harm,

Wishing pain… upon someone I do not know.

I do not get gratification

Upon hearing of one’s misfortune.

And even with the things you say… the things I hear,

I do not wish upon you the same.
