Peace like sun...

Peace like sun warms my heart of hearts
     The breathing emanating from your lungs is
          Music to my soul.

Breathe deep, my love, and be content.
     I, who have searched long and fiercely,
          Rest now in you.
          Here I am complete.

I lack nothing and need nor wish for more.
     Singing silently, the world hears my song
          And aches for that which is not hers.

My contentment runs deep and wide and overflows,
     I bask in my joy and warm myself in your sun.

impressed upon me this image: when you are lonely, it seems all the world has what you cannot seem to find; when you are in love, it seems that all the world could never find what you possess. i think i am going to go and write a poem about that now. :) wonderful write. i really like this poem, can't really explain why, but i know people (myself included) would love a well written poem like this for vday, anniversary, etc. the one thing that i can explain that i like about it is that it doesnt have a set structure yet it seems to flow well.
