Fred the Elf

This is a limerick for St. Patty's Day!

There once was an elf named Fred,

who was so shy he always turned red.

So on March seventeen,

he painted himself green!

Now Fred!  That's using your head!

I entered this in a limerick contest in 6th grade and won. I was over-the-top excited to be the winner!
I love limericks; there are quite a few clever ones out there!
