Sacrifice, For Love

Sacrifice, For Love

A Poem by Blood_knight3000

My heart bleeds at the thought of loosing you.

My heart dies as I give up myself.

True love comes quickly,

Yet it is never easy.

Why is it so easy to begin?

Why does no one tell you?

That what you bargain for

Is more than what you truly desire?

Why the needless complexities?

When love is ever so selfless?

So intensely selfish?

Sacrifice is loves fire.

Yet what is there to gain?

But misery encompassing  happy thoughts.

I was thinking today. Wouldn't it be great if we could fall in love with the same person everyday? Why must love fade, whittle and fall into yesterday's? What is there to gain but the emptiness of a sorrowed heart? You have inspired me, dear poet! Thank you for the scribe.
