Little boy...

Little boy...

A Poem by There's A Smile To Hide My Pain...
"

That night still rings in my thoughts...

"

A Fragile Soul…

Little boy, just fourteen years old,

Just a little used to being alone…

Bullied to the brink of destruction…

He never had a bad word to say about anyone,

Yet, they still made him the butt of their jokes…

The bad moral… the wrong ending…

Justified in heaven’s break,

That night, little boy changed…

That night, everything changed…

Why did he have to stay late…?

Why was he so blind…

A group of them jumped him from behind…

They tied him up with rope,

They beat him with flimsy pieces of metal…

And when they were done…

The little boy could cry no more…

Falling to the ground, like a limp doll…

At least they had the audacity to cut him loose…

Lying there… motionless…

Feeling the crimson regret pour from his back,

He was the fragile soul the world forgot…

He was the fragile soul the angels cried for…

Something gave little boy the courage to fight that night…

Because that night, little boy should have died…

He should have gone to be with the angels…

But… something gave him the will to fight…

With that, he stood after they left… bloody it may be…

And made his way towards the bathroom… where he would clean up…

“Why didn’t you do anything?”

Why didn’t you report them?”

“Why didn’t you do something?”

Simple, little boy didn’t want to start fights,

He was a lover, and not a fighter…

So, the next time you make fun of an outcast,

The next time you make fun of someone just trying to get by…

Remember my story, you wanna know why?

Because, that little boy I mentioned?

Yeah, that little boy was me…
