about my cuz who has cancer

You smile forgetting for a moment

A moment so precious

Yet it is lost in an instant

Reminded by the pain in you're leg

Unable to bend

Reminded by the itch of a wig that isn't completely on

Reminded by the fake eyelashes you must reaply often

 

Youre smile never wavers

You sure are brave

You eminate a light unable to be ignored

You have youre doubts

But you hold out

 

You keep a smile on you're face

Appearing okay with it all

Everyone knows youre not

But we're all here for you

 

Feelings often swarm in and out of you're head

Not knowing what to feel

Anger, hurt, pain, sick, hostility.

Greatful, supported, loved, embraced.

Confusion the most dominate

 

Why?

It is often asked in you're home

At the hospital

To you're friends

By you're family

But no one knows

 

Hope

The main thing we all keep close

Close to our hearts for you

Close to our brains trying to be raminded of what it is

Trying to be able to have that belief

But its hard

 

Harder then anyone knows

Besides you

You know how hard this is

Because it's thee hardest on you

 

No one knows what to do

Who to turn to

But we all know what to hold

Not only you, but hope

One word

So much meaning

 

Something that we will never lose.
