Curiosity Killed The Cat

Curiosity Killed The Cat

A Poem by Angela Sparks

Your eyes seem so bright
Yet I know they're misleading
Your soul seemed so stunning
So beautiful
So mysterious.
Behind the eyes hid a secret
I wanted to know
Curiosity filled me at your presence
Made me bold
Though bold I still stayed shy
I wasn't too much of anything
But a lot of different thing
Curiosity filled you
Seems time and time again
We'd circle such ways
Lost
Wondering
.
.
.
Curious
.....
Yes
Good times
But curiosity killed the cat
That's what they say
I wondering penguin
Is a meal
Yes
Wanderers
Do not go far
You'll lose yourself
To the sting of depression
Heartbreak
Failure
And loneliness
But remember always
In times when wondering seems good
Cats have nine lives
Yet still
Curiosity killed it.

The style is different and yet nice. Curiosity is good but being curious without serious about life can certainly kill anyone. Good work :)
