Dear Johnny

Dear Johnny

A Poem by CoconutSprinkles08

Dear Johnny,

I'm not in love with you.

This is just a little crush,
Due to the last one rushed.
But I do have to admit,
your brown eyes are perfect.
And we fit,
Together like pieces of a puzzle,
But I can't take you too seriously;
I don't want the feeling of regret
Knocking at my door again.

So can we just be friends?
We might lead somewhere,
But I know it'll end up with my heart
Shattered and lost in the air.
It always has.
So I think I'll pass.
We can still talk...

Right?

I may not love you
But lets not fight,
I want us to be right
For each other.
Just give me time
And I'll think of the next rhyme
In our love song
That has been hidden
In my heart,
All along.

Don't walk away from us,
This isn't love, It's lust.
It gets the best of us,
They say.
What are we doing anyway?
Wasting our time with
Something that ends so soon?
It'll be humanity's doom,
And what do we do?
Write "love" letters to
God knows who.
I can't do this anymore...

I'm not in love with you.

Sincerely,
Me
