Fame Is A Killer

Fame Is A Killer

A Poem by Elizabeth Fiske
"

So many have fallen victim to this killer...

"
It's the darkness that consumes you,
Your hatred that perfumes you.
Your love of the game
Was superseded,
By your love of the fame.
Now you sit all alone,
Making many places your home.
But you don't think this is as true as it is,
You don't even realize
How many things you miss,
Do you?
If you actually took the time
And remembered why you wrote each rhyme
In the song you sing-
Your eight year old dreams' hymn-
Then maybe I would realize,
That my idol really didn't die
Inside...

this is really good! I completely agree with this poem, what people give up and lose for fame is not worth it at all. Great write! =D
