i'll not question

i'll not question

A Poem by Daniel Atkinson
"

for her.

"
beneath the spotlight moon,
fireflies tickling our warm skin,
i'll dance with you.
we can do the flamenco,
the one-two step,
and i think i taught you how to waltz once.

moon dust sprinkled in our hair,
your smile lighting up the night
brighter than any celestial orb,
we'll spin.
your dress blossoming and twirling,
a rose petal in the wind,
my glasses askew,
i'll kiss you there on the moonlit stage.

together, lost in our midnight forever,
i'll not question your love.

I like that ironic twist at the end. Makes you question why he would question. Sounds also like a date I once had...
Again, your writing talent at such a young age astonishes me. Granted, I'm only three years older, but still, sixteen is a lot different than nineteen, but your writing is on the level of a middle-aged scribe.

I normally hate love poems. heh However, this is quite sweet. I love when poems capture moments without giving away too many details, just let us insert the rest. Well done.

very tender, sweet..I am confused if the last line is a statement or not..maybe that's how it's intended to be..Enjoyable read.
