Kick it with me

Kick it with me

A Poem by Colette
"

a lil soon-to-be-spoken word for the one who's got me swingin!

"

do i tell you my age

my nightmares

my woes, my cares

do i dare let you in my cage

line up the deaths i’ve witnessed

dine over the deaths i’ve escaped

or do i show you

a resurrection

do i get hung up on fear

sweep up some tears

go to bed with history

or do i steer, take the wheel

drive forward with you, me, and

swagga in the heated bucket seats

should i clear the slate

make room for fate

pull your hair, tug on your heart

ride it out wit chu

to the pearly gates

cuz i can do this

i am willing, sit back chillin

wait for the snow to melt

rock my G belt

shake my head no to those pursuing

make a date...for our revolution

cuz you feel that directional pull don’t you?

yeah, my tattoos will pull you

from the place of their ancestry

to the face of my artistry

and i will pull you on me, in me

our human bodies will fit tight

it will feel right

mind, body, soul

One Love

or should i have more conventional goals

allow fear to be the backseat driver

do what others do, cuz it’s how

they"the meatloaf people"say

you are supposed to live your life

and you....what’s  your say?

cupcake or meatloaf

bucket seats or bus

how about trust?

come on...and kick it with me
