Eve

Eve

A Poem by Colossus
"

the promise of Eve

"
So fair her locks, the color of pale wheat at harvest,
So warm her eyes, a fire warmer than the hearth,
So soft her skin, luminescent in the moon-light,
Her smile a beacon of hope in a world of ice,
Her hand a refuge in a sea of turmoil,
Her touch a shield against the darkness,
She is the breaking of the dawn and the star of the morning,
She is the yearning of the new day and the promise of the sun,
She is the mist of the mountains and the calm ocean,
In her care no heart shall mourn,
In her embrace no soul shall want,
In her power no star shall wane,
With her faith will always win,
With her the sun will always shine,
With her the flowers will always bloom
