Goodbye

Goodbye

A Poem by Comatose
"

I don't have to put up with this anymore.

"

Goodbye old, familiar room.

Where feelings are hacked and hearts are strewn.

Goodbye soft, comforting bed.

Where love was whispered and hatred spread.

Goodbye warm, ragged chair.

Where lies were told and laughs were shared.

Goodbye worn and faithful table.

Where once was fair and cherished fable.

Goodbye fingers warm and strong

Pointing in ways decietful and wrong

Goodbye warm and calming embrace

Malice hidden in colloquy and lace

Goodbye pretty words of lust

Seducer of hope and betrayer of trust

Goodbye eyes of enthralling blue

The act of innocence now seen right through

Goodbye excuses always stalled

Goodbye forever, goodbye all.
