Broken Promise

A girl and a boy don't have time for a relationship so they promise each other it wont evolve into one.

I look into your eyes,

remembering a promise,

not to fall in love,

for our busy lives can't consist of.

But as I sit here and gaze,

your expression misbehaves,

I see through your windowed eyes,

feelings spark somewhere deep inside.

Who knows what the future holds,

but one thing that has yet been told,

is a fire in my heart,

burns from that same spark.
