They do say a bird in the hand is better than a plate of tuna in the bush.
Or is it a bird with a bush or not is more enjoyable to a man.
Is a bird allowed in your house in lockdown, and if she is, does she have to be two metres apart.
That is a tough poem for dumb guys like me.

I've only had one cat & she ran away after less than 2 years becuz she preferred fresh meat to canned slop. It's easy to understand why a cat makes such choices, but humans resist trying to understand the person who only thrives on a steady diet of freedom & non-conformity. On another wavelength, your poem suggests that humans are every bit as brutal & deadly as your friendly furry predator. The question after reading this metaphorical flowing bit of fun is, who is the hunter and who is the hunted. A nice tuna and mayo sandwich with cucumber, accompanied by a large bottle of cold lager is always welcome after a bush tucker trial!

Man is a hunter, so I think the strange bird is far more appealing to him. The thrill of the hunt and the exotic catch at the end. This poem says so much about human nature, especially for the male of the species. An intriguing poem, Tania. 💛
