Lily of the Valley

Lily of the Valley

A Poem by Corset

You know the Lily of the valley
every stick and strand
Every inch
of all the land
Every line inside your hand
every glance into prevail
every mist on every Vale
All the laughs
and all the lisps
every tear
of every list
Every Death you long to wish
a chance to walk
or to fetch a feather
we'll hear the laughter of heaven
together.

Incredibly beautiful words, especially the fourth stanza. You got me at the mention of Lily of the Valley and feathers. Lovely language and delightful imagery. Well done Corset.

Thank you Christine for your wonderful and most generous comments
Heavy unadulterated sigh.....this was perfect, the first line was beautiful and the rhyming was clever and unforced, delicate just like the flower or the relationship. It is so cool how the lily has so much meaning to so many cultures. Loved this!!

Amazing use of words dear Corset.
"All the laughs
and all the lisps
every tear
of every list"
The above line. A reminder to slow down and watch the flowers dance.

Dawn is my Daughters middle name, such a beautiful name imho..thank you
What a simply delightful poem; full of imagery, energy, delicate wordplay, and creative structure. I am aware that the lily of the valley is also identified as the May lily. And, has been described as: "return to happiness" and most often symbolizes chastity, purity, happiness, luck, and humility. I can say from reading a few times, you have indeed encapsulated this in a framework of perfect prose – excellent ... :-)

I can see multiple meanings in your words, but as a hopeless romantic I focus on the loving nature of this poem.

Awe, thanks sweetie.
It's the valleys....I used to think the horse alongside me was someone else...but maybe it was you. Maybe its always been you and we are running full speed ahead...running from...running too....fears...life forces...I have been hearing the talking....maybe it's just our sisters....

The people we love so deeply while here on earth become no less important to us once they are in heaven.
Your poem is beautiful.

Thank you Cherrie for those beautiful words.
interesting voice Corset ... so abstract ... i have read it several times and tried to assume different assumptions to perhaps understand a bit better ... this could go romantic or romantic vs. some darker something ... still not sure which nor what ;)) its been a while since i have seen you around .. glad i did not miss this one!
