Bits and Pieces

Bits and Pieces

A Poem by Corset

There is a singular grace
in every silent vow(el)
that was worth it
In every yo(u)
understood
every trip
or distance
tra(verse)d by
an encyclopedia
In every flight or fight
syndrome at the prologue
of every book
knowing that there is a chance at every
beginning of every story
there will be hope
that the villain will see the light
and be somehow redeemed
by some small flicker of
conscience.
The guy will always get the girl of his dreams in the end
the girl never gets the guy
but still somehow finds a better part of herself
 in not doing so.
This is the way of stories and books
they will break the waybread and walk off into the sunset
leaving a small trail of crumbs for us to follow.

They do just that...leave crumbs that some like to devour with relish lol Words, stories, poetry, thoughts penned, the scrawls of perception, the freedom of epiphanies, all from the hopes/promises/faith/dreams and so on and so forth we invest while reading...literature is a world of adventure on a vast scale...thouroughly enjoyed this piece Corset :)

Thank you Ruth, Loved your comments!
"I'm in pieces, bits and pieces"---
Yes those silent vowels...and silent consonants...make our language so hard to teach to those who are unfamiliar.
But they learn, and we learn from reading...and we can always hope for different endings. I think the endings should be reversed, the guy never gets the girl, and the girl always gets the guy...
and maybe we keep looking for those crumbs that might put together the slice that gives us the perfect ending on which to munch.
