Starlight Titan

Starlight Titan

A Poem by Corset
"

a song I heard while dreaming made into a poem

"
You are my lost city of Atlantis
like a buried treasure beneath the sea
that I hoped one day would return to be
crashing up from below the dismal depths
to ride the waves like a starlight Titan
to find the place were we first met,

Or from the fire, this is where I want to be;
anywhere there's you and me, this how it should be
every time you look at me, I'm into the fire,
when you're looking in my eyes
this is when I'm hypnotized by the ire of the flame.

You are the Van Gogh of my starry night
the billowing blow of the lambent light
the timeless end to an endless flight
to the canvas night where we first met.

...but not by body, just by soul
when your arms are full of someone's glow
You are my lost city, my long lost name
and it begins to exact it's toll.

You were my lost city of Atlantis
like a buried treasure beneath the sea
that I hoped one day would return to be
crashing up from below the dismal depths
to ride the waves like a starlight Titan.

...and from that fire, this Phoenix sprang
from that leviathan I tried to hang
not by body just by soul
entwined with the flame where we first met
into the fire, into the dismal depth,
lost in the mystery of Atlantis.

What an extraordinarily powerful allegiance to past glories and a love that means more than dream, lyrics or poem can ever express. Yet you have, near dramatically created a poem so very personal and utterly sincere. Your classical references, for instance, ' You are the Van Gogh of my starry night - the billowing blow of the lambent light - the timeless end to an endless flight - to the canvas night where we first met.' - that is exquisite poetry. Will return to read again.. and again. Keep safe, always. .

wow I rarely dream a song maybe twice in my life this has happened. I have never had the gumption to transcribe a lyric into a poem they. for some reason... don't go together well for me? (I think maybe they come from different parts of my brain) I can't seem to make a poem into a song and vice versa:/ this is a lovely verse....
