Again and Again

Life has proven to me

again and again

that no matter

how hard you try,

your best

is never going to be good enough.

You can love someone

so fully

and with

everything in you,

and yet they can never

love you

the way you love them.

Forever doomed

to amble upon

this lonely earth,

a single soul

misunderstood and alone

because no one

can love

an incomplete being

that fights the evil

instead of becoming

the evil.
