Falling

Falling

A Poem by Cory Stonestreet

Seems like it's been forever

My eyes have been sealed tight

But now they're opened wide

'Cause the sun is shining bright

My world is now unfrozen

It's spinning 'round again

The citizens are full of life

More than they've ever been

Deep inside is the burning core

That keeps glowing brighter

And though there's still a cold harsh winter

The snow is landing whiter

But after winter passes

And we put away our mits

I'm warming deep within

While the summertime hits

But as for spring and fall

I guess that we can say

My feelings spring endlessly

I fall more for you each day
