The Death of Mia

The Death of Mia

A Poem by Courtney

Waking up on bathroom floors
How far will this go?
Keeping mind behind closed doors
Set at all time low

Blood comes retching at the touch
From so deep inside
Talons stretch the heart does clutch
Eyes shut ever wide

What happened to way back when
All came out with ease
Chocking, gagging Lion's Den
Falling to my knees

Mia's failing and dying slow
Where she did slack begins to show.

wow, this is so deep and relatable.

I wonder if this poem could be about the death of a pet bird? It certainly paints some stark and powerful images. I think you meant to say... "Choaking" instead of "Chocking" in the third stanza. I like the rhyme flow, that worked really well!

Great Ink!
