Chasing Butterflies

Chasing Butterflies

A Poem by MMC
"

Being consumed by regrets

"
Missed chances, opportunities
Closed windows and possibilities
Things that could've been realities
Are now thought of as regrets.

If only rewind, turn back time
Change the tides, change my mind
Unchoose the choices and redecide.
Or at least I wish to forget.

One day when I'm older
The weight of my mistakes on my shoulders
Bitter, unsatisfied unhappy or colder
Still wishing to redecide.

Couldn't work with the tools my choices employed
Couldn't live a full life, I could've enjoyed it
Any further unhappiness I could've avoided
As time and life fluttered by...

Spent too much time chasing butterflies.
