Deimos - Black Rain

Deimos - Black Rain

A Poem by Sherratt133
"

Lyrics for my band

"
Verse 1
Vultures in suits.
Preying on the weak.
From towers of ivory and gold.
Consume, Consume, Consume!
Slave to earn a wage.
The one percent have all the wealth controlled.

Chorus
Left out in the cold; Black Rain.
Cardboard box a home; Black Rain.
Pennies in a cup; Black Rain.
Pillow made of stone; Black Rain.

Verse 2
All the work we do.
And we’re still struggling to eat.
Whilst they’re up there sipping on champagne.
Work us to the bone.
Seven days a week.
Enough to drive the average man insane.

Chorus
Left out in the cold; Black Rain.
Cardboard box a home; Black Rain.
Pennies in a cup; Black Rain.
Pillow made of stone; Black Rain.

Verse 3
It’s time to take control.
To stop living like this.
And now we’re done with all of their deceit.
Our lives are in our hands.
Now come with me my friends.
Hand in hand, to topple the elite.

Chorus
Left out in the cold; Black Rain.
Cardboard box a home; Black Rain.
Pennies in a cup; Black Rain.
Pillow made of stone; Black Rain.
