Justice No More

Justice No More

A Poem by Sherratt133

Stop, take look at me.
Do you hear the distant screams?
You can't run. You can't hide.
They're creeping up, They're outside.

Running through the killing field,
Death is all of which they will yield,
Blood soaks into the soft wet ground,
Fighting for oil; below the mound.

Justice is served.
Justice has fled.
Justice no more.
Justice is dead.

We were bred to kill them all,
Slaves we were at their beck and call.
Forced to pull straws, we got the shortest.
Shot down as we tried to storm the fortress.

And now they answer for there crimes,
Avoided retribution too many times,
Gavel of justice crushes them,
They are now the condemned.

Justice is served.
Justice obstructed.
Justice no more.
Justice deducted.

Oblique deadly visions,
Corrupting our decisions.
Obliterate our rights,
Our days, as dark as nights.

They set their clever trap,
Your hypnotised by their crap.
We're all kept in checkmate,
Our everything they dictate.

Justice is served.
Justice was raped.
Justice no more.
Justice mis-shaped.

I often wonder why on earth people go out to fight a war that they didn't start; to fight a war that is completely and utterly useless-not to mention that all wars are completely and utterly useless. Democracy making like this really f***s up the definition of justice, right?

Once again, an amazing song, Craig (if it is a song). Excellent rhyming here-especially in this bit:"We were bred to kill them all, Slaves we were at there beck and call. Forced to pull straws, we got the shortest.Shot down as we tried to storm the fortress". I also like the choruses, too (if they are choruses); short but straight to the point. There are few minor mistakes (e.g. their, not there), but who cares?

You really deserve a 100 :)
