A Poem by Insanity

I always felt like an outcast,
so different from the rest.

I was born, an Asian,
in a foreign country.
I grew up as an Asian,
in a foreign country.

I feel like I won't fit in anywhere,
no matter where I go.

I will not fit in where my dad came from -
I don't understand the language.
I will not fit in where my mum came from -
I don't speak the language.

I can not fit in where I was born -
not all of them are as accepting.
I can not fit in where I grew up -
my skin colour is different from theirs.

Sometimes it's just because,
they have a home,
they have a proper family,
they have houses thrice the size of my house,
they have people who like and love them,
they have seemingly everything.

I always felt like an outcast,
so different from the rest.
