Eyes

Eyes

A Poem by KL
"

It's all I see.

"

verse I

eyes
it's all I see
piercing through the shadow
too fallow for me

eyes
blue in disguise
with spider web footprints
and golden ties

ch

they're on your face
right above your nose
the soul comes out
in those windows
and when you leave
it never goes

verse II

holes
inside my heart
you're painting with my pain
and calling it art

I've seen your face
but don't know where to go
I think I'll talk to your eyes
they say the most

(ch)

bridge

verse III

those eyes
they're all I see
they're all I hear
they're all I breathe

yet your eyes
satisfy
the colours in my mind
with spiderweb footprints
and golden ties...

I find music far more emotional then poetry or any piece of writing. Why? Simply because it allows the composer to really dig deep into the words and make them come to life. Reading them off a paper out loud is effortless- but it's when you sing them to someone, they mean the most. This poem speaks volumes and paints a beautiful imagery- since our eyes ARE the windows to a persons soul. If you can't see through them clearly- they're not meant to be cleaned. You're meant to walk away and find yourself a new window to stare at. And once you can see her eyes- there will always be more songs to make from them. Great job.

Your lyric moves one from the surface to the soul behind the eyes.. The depth and beauty found in rich longing. There is such a fascination i find with those two bright spheres...

This is absolutely gorgeous. (: You've stated things so plainly, yet rhythmically intriguing. This piece is so true. The eyes are indeed the windows to the soul. (: Fantastic.

Gorgeous piece- the rhythm seemed a bit weird in the second part, but that might be because I don't know the melody. Overall, really great piece- unique take on something that can be monotonous. Great job.

Very romantic song. I love them imagery and the message that the song portrays. I could imagine this as a ballad. So much beauty and mystery in the eyes. They tell a lot about our soul.

This would make a great Jazz songs, but you would need a voice similar to Ella Fitzgerald's to preform this...
Good job
