Dear Dan,
You are growing up.
You are growing tall,
Head always in the clouds.

Dear Dan,
Life is very tough.
It's not all fairytales.

Dear Dan,
You got plenty of time.
Look at the world with those wide eyes,
I know you'll do fine.

Dear Dan,
I miss you in the rain.
The droplets like a piece of my heart
Starting to fade.

Honestly, I miss the way we used to play.
I miss the way you used to make me smile everyday.

But I know you're getting older,
And wiser too.

It's okay..
It's okay..

Dear Dan,
The world is not all safe.
The world is not all good.
Promise that you'll be careful.

Dear Dan,
Learn how to be brave.
Learn how to be strong.

Dear Dan,
If you take a wrong turn,
Or simply stumble and fall,
I'll help you to find your way.

Dear Dan,
I don't know what to say.

Wow, all I can really say to this is thank you CG. With the way I was starting to feel lately, I really needed something like this(at first I didn't think this was to me, but I saw it in your reply to Lizardo's review....I'manotpsychicandnoIdidn'tknowthatyouwouldthinkIwaspsychicifIsaidthankyouwhenyoudidn'tevenwriteitintheactualpoemandIshouldprobablybequietnowbecauseI'mprobablygivingawaymysecretwaitnoum.....nachos heh heh). I love how you can just write poems and dedicate them to people who you haven't actually met in person(and probably never will), and that is a very kind thing for you to do. Most people wouldn't do that, but you are one of those rare, wonderful exceptions to that rule. I know I don't come on this website anywhere near as much as I use to(because of a mix of less time and me having hardly any inspiration for writing nowadays), but hey, in the end that's just the way the Tofu Train of life goes. People get older, wiser(hopefully), and they begin to understand the world around them a little more at a time. In a way, we're all like Butterflies. We start off as small Caterpillars, and then one day go through Metamorphosis. By the time we're done, we leave this world as Butterflies, and fly off into the unknown. So once again CG, thank you from the bottom of my heart. :)

Gosh....I'm so glad you enjoyed it! You really just made my day! I do like to dedicate my poems...even though I probably will never meet you, you've had such an impact on my life. That goes to show that even the smallest things/deeds can change a person. I agree with you in your perspective about how we are all like butterflies..it's so true. Thanks so much for being my friend! You have no idea how much you mean to me :)

I don't know if were talking about our Dan (Doorman) or the other Dan who is a great guy too.
