A Doll Set Free

A Doll Set Free

A Poem by Megu

A Doll Set Free

I am a story,
A walking yarn of others' lies,
Adapt; shift; morph into something,
That others have come to expect of me.

I am a marionette,
With detachable strings,
Tailor; modify; adjust to suit whomever,
That wants me to behave, appropriately.

I am a canvas,
Ready to be tainted,
Splash; brush; blended into a big mess,
That the environment made out to be.

I  am.... set free,
When you touched my heart,
Release; free! To be me,
That I have long dreamed of, because of you,

But.... who am I? I cannot remember any more.
