All in the Same Day

All in the Same Day

A Poem by Crystal Marie Rome
"

I recently found a group of people that I came to love deeply. The poem basically tells the rest. Please comment. :)

"
Listen to waves hit the sand,
Listen to the shadows creeping closer,
Listen to the loveliness of the bird song in the air.
Only, yes only, love can take you there.

Why leave and wonder what it meant to stay,
Why leave and wonder why you went away,
Why leave and wonder just who you kept at bay,
Who would want to leave the love you found that day.

Shout at all the unfairness,
Shout at all the fun,
Shout at all the loneliness,
And dance underneath the sun.

Who would have thought,
That the briefest love there could be,
Would be promised,
And rejoiced in,
Broken,
And cried in,
All at once,
All in the same day.

Truly yours, this poem. It's characteristic of your writings. It has a strong base. And superb image you wove. It's all in my mind now, and I feel nice. And the title was carefully placed. There's always room for improvement, as my dad always tells me. I hope you do better each time you come up with a new write. All the best!!
