Last year anther visitor came
At first, it was chased away
But it refused to go
They went around the garden together
Then the visitor left
Our son watched as it collected bits of twigs
He said it had built a nest
Then there were some eggs
Eventually, there were some chicks
We left them alone
Yes our Robin was a hen

She had raised her chicks who flew off to seek their fortune in someone else's garden

This one isn't as full of vivid details as your other one. Sounds a little ho-hum, to be honest. I know you can do better than this. This even sounds like you are bored with this anecdote. What makes this different than the everyday nest-building that has been written about a million times? Sorry to be so hard on you, but this is a hard pill to swallow after reading your #2 version!
