March

March

A Poem by Wild Rose

March

The wild wind blows

Makes our fingers and nose cold

Leaves on the trees

Flutter with ease

To land in piles in calm corners

Plants in pots roll on the floor

Hanging baskets fall down

Garden gate off the latch

Swings and bangs

Rain and hail showers

Winter trying to stay

The hills have new snow caps

Wont last out the day

Snow Drops; Crocus; Mini Daffs

In beds; under bushes; by the paths

Give us hope for calmer, warmer

Days of spring

Wild Rose

Despite the current agonies of the month, I am a huge fan of March and the chills of winter. I know it gets very cold up here in the northern hemisphere but there is just something about snuggling into warm clothes and blankets that appeals to me. Your poem describes the season very well and shows the reader that for you, joy lies on the horizon with the coming of spring. I enjoyed the poem. Lush and descriptive.:))

Thumbs up for vividly describing the scene. It seems like March is a challenging month for everyone this year. Nevertheless, I still like it since it's my birth month and it reminds me of cherry blossoms in spring. 🌸

March has now been cancelled due to Boris telling us it is actually February. However, this 'May' change when Cobra rewinds the big handle on his back, thus sending him out to tell the public his dad will meet them all down the pub that he's just opened. Stanley's Tavern. We March on, three feet apart, or is it six. Okay, update, do not March, sweat spreads this virus quicker. What fool said April was round the corner.
