A Promise

A Promise

A Poem by Curls

An adamant man
paces back and forth
at the corner of
unfixed hearts.
Waiting anxiously,
hoping patiently,
praying deeply;
for the woman
who claimed to be
the angel of love
that can mend
the broken heart
his chest cages.
A day,
a week,
now a month
still hoping for
the woman
said to be an angel-
wrapped in black.
What he thought
he knew
was really no one.
A broken promise
made by him,
made by an angel.

I very much like this. I love the language you have used, as well as the metaphors. it is something i think that a lot of people can relate to, and i agree that it really does have an overwhelming sense of loneliness.

Thank you for the review. ;)
that's a nice poem ,an illusion he made about a girl he wants who no longer stay by his side. Still wishing the girl that once left him behind. That's loneliness I guess.
