Moonlit Lullaby

Moonlit Lullaby

A Poem by Max Earns

Your pulse, my breath
For my heart you are meant.
Share beat instead,
For words we haven't said.
Then breath again,
So I'll never forget.

Upon, I sit
My eager eyes,
To seek your silver lights.
My eyes are met,
By cloudy nights,
Behind which you hide.
Subtle deject
Then interwind
Inside this heart of mine.

Oh, Moon, you let
The starry sky
Between us; you and I?!
But then I let,
Myself abide
In fire that won't subside...
Then I regret
My foolish fight
'Cause, Moon, you're my delight.

And so I bend,
To your design,
With sorrow by my side.
I swallow dread
That I must hide.
For, you, I can't resign.
Oh, Moon, my breath,
I wrong my right
And wish not for your flight.

I love this poem, the imagery, the flow. I love when people write about the firmament. This poem conveyed some excellent (stellar) imagery my friend.
Keep up the great work, Max

What a picture you create here, pained beauty. Again, lovely imagery. The last stanza stood out to me in particular
