 Soft And Serious

 

There is something soft and serious

Which can be transmitted 

In the length

Of a passing glance

Something that will change

The very atmosphere

The rhythm of the heart

The course of a life

 

Cause the blood to rush

Color to flush

A rapid blush

The skin to be sensitized

At the moment something hoped for

Is at last realized

 

The transfer of emotion

From the ordinary moment

On a given day

A monumental explosion

When all things ordinary

Pass away

 

Shattering the corrosion

Of a lonely heart

As love casually walks through the open door

Kicks off it's welcome shoes

And softly whispers

Amore, amore, amore
