Are we talking about the discovery of America here? I think you have a Columbus day. However, he didn't did he? There were already people there and had been for years. Haven't got a clue how Lief fits in. Enlighten me please Dylan :)

Yes, the discovery of North America. ...Columbus Day, which many states are thoughtfully switching to Indigenous Peopl'es' Day was last Monday, Oct 11th; I was 6 days late in acknowledging it.
Leif Erikson, an Icelandic Norseman is considered by many historians to have been the first European to land in N.America, predating old Christopher by 500 years.
