Unspoken so Unknown

Unspoken so Unknown

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Why haven't you asked me?
I can see the question hiding
behind the quiet moments
I can feel it hanging desperately
From your held tongue.

I am as guilty.
I want to tell you everything
Without reason, without notice
But who I am is also
Who I have left behind

I dont want you looking at me
As I once saw myself.

I want you to touch them
To kiss them, to love them
As they are my story.

I want you to ask me
And I want to tell you.

But are either of us ready?
