Clad In Armor

Clad In Armor

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Thick and heavy
It carries me
Away, away
Swift and quick
I return
Shielded, I walk among them
Guarded are my thoughts
Sided with caution. Observe.
What parts shall they have,
Which parts do I offer?
Exposed, I walk beside you
Leaking with vulnerability
Unprotected yet observed
What parts do you wish of me,
Which parts will you keep?
Thick and heavy,
It carries me
A ways away
Swift and quick
I return
