A Poem by Sarah Jane

Water. Air. Lungs.
Floating face down.
Grasping, gasping.
Water filled tongues.
Ive been drowning since
I met you.

"You can't keep saving me."
"I can't let you go, either. "

This raw imagery is powerful & reminds me of back in my youth when I would know a person wasn't good for me, but I could not stop myself from being around them & letting their vibe screw with me. Despite being short, you pack a bunch of imagery plus dialogue that really means something, packs a punch (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
