Enough

Enough

A Poem by Sarah Jane

Thats enough
Thank you, breaker of boundaries
For instilling boundary lines
Lighting them ablaze
And setting the firm

I've had enough of being an imposter
A poster child for surviving darkness
For thriving without a God
That shows no mercy like I did

Ive had enough hard lessons
Harder to learn, hard to remember
Of late nights spent wondering
If I learned them correctly

I've had enough of being empty
Unsatisfying, of being disconnected
Of scheduling emotional release
When my children won't notice

I've had enough of shallow thoughts
Of first thoughts battling seconds
Of fighting to believe that I am
Enough
