Taboo Behaviour

Taboo Behaviour

A Poem by Daniel Eaves
"

What we decide to do, or not to do.

"

We are walking through a crowd

And I can see coming up ahead

A pink iced-doughnut,

faced down on the pavement.

She’s saying stuff she thinks important

And to do it would likely send

A chaotic mess up the back of that man’s

Suit pants

And earn pious frowns from all around,

So why do I have this sublime urge?

We reach the doughnut

I draw my foot back...
