Weaver

Weaver

A Poem by Brian Conrad
"

I would hope this is a rather self-evident poem on surface level, though like us all, it has many layers.

"

Lost in the shuffle

Buried from beneath

Taken to the wall

Broken on the sea

Falling from grace

Battalions at siege

Reach for the line

That you own weave

Hold it tight

Fight the night

Look for shelter

Mind the skelter

Oh home ahead

The new life built

And many breads

Within your web

Run the web

Hold it tight

Swing today

Die tonight
