Torn Apart

Torn Apart

A Poem by Evan M.

Was it hard?
Letting go like you did?
Was it painful?
Watching me tear my self apart
Was it loathsome?
Seeing my tears falling like rain
Was it easy?
Letting me drown in my blood
Slowly seeping through me
My life slowly ebbing away..
Just as you did
Slowly you slipped off
And suddenly your presence was missed
The wolf walks alone again
This time he plans to stay alone
No more fresh wounds, no more piercing stabs to the heart
Just the dull throb and fading lines of old art
He walks alone again, standing on his own strength
Nevermore will he allow another close
For there is an ever haunting ghost
That watched him tear himself apart.
