Happy Birth Day to You

Happy Birth Day to You

A Poem by Murisaka
"

just turned 18

"
I m another year older
and another year wiser
or thats how the story should go
but ive failed my self in many a way
and i just thought you would like to know.
i still have no love
and with out her
no life,
my friends have all dwindled away
but now they've come back
on this one strange day
to laugh in a cynical way.
but i know them well
and to laugh is to love
and they help me pave to the way,
in this journy, we all call a life,
and today is another birthday.
to me its a year
gone down the tubes
no one to hold in my hands
but then again just look in the mirror
and surely you will then understand.
love is hard to find in these days
and even if found
its still sketchy
but ill look back upon the years in the past
and cherish them with an honorable gaze.
because in that past
the one i call my own
well it lets me know my life is real.
so ill laugh with my friends
and think to my self
well what is this
some kind of a deal.
to me age is a number
another label to call our very own
to say we've been here so long.
so ill smile a grin
and laugh once again
despite fighting back all the tears.
happy birthday they'll say
an ill be on my way
wondering where the time has been.
