this poem was a co.poem with the lovely Purple Rose who inspired me with her passionate way of writing :)

Who's The Fool Now?

you did well making me a fool
when you convinced my heart
that yours wanted to love mine

those deceiving smiling eyes
tender worthless passionate words
now leave haunting memories

inside my heart you left a scar
relentless suffering
pointless thinking
as you left so far

memories do make me smile
and as they ache my heart
tears fall and the smile departs

was I naive
were you smart
to let me in to you
then depart
an honest heart is never a fool
but your deceiving smile is now cruel 

one day you will truly love another
you will be given what you left me
an empty heart filled with pain

so when your down and lonely
with my memory and hers haunting you
you will feel the pain that I do now

you will cry the tears
taste them warm then cold
will you sleep enough?
hear the mourning of the night
be a memory to another

as am a memory to you now
